Open Media Project Implementation at PCM, ACM Conference and Open Media Mixer

Portland, OR at PCM Headquarters - Tony, Ann, John and Kevin all trekked to Portland for an exciting and busy week.  First, Denver Open Media met with PCM’s Daniel Sasser to complete the OM install and also met the rest of the station in order to get them acquainted with the tool set.  John summed up the week’s progress on groups.drupal.org, saying:

“A few things we realized while at PCM were the need for a more defined workflow and improved user experience. We hope to identify more specific issues and create relevant solutions as part of the next phase of the projects.”

The team also participated in the 2009 Alliance for Community Media National Conference held in Portland.  The Open Media Project set the tone for most of the sessions and was referred to as “the buzz of the conference” by one blogger.  Also, on July 17 there was an Open Media Mixer where all six beta stations were represented and discussed their progress in the project thus far.
